Brenda's Story
Life
My maiden name was Brenda Duncan. I have been married for over 37 years. I have one daughter 23 years old. She is a senior at the University of Oklahoma. She is a Kappa Kappa Gamma and a eduction major.
I live east of Shawnee, OK on a farm.
I teach in Shawnee. I worked in a support personal compacity for 3 years. I have taught for 25 years.I was in the classroom for 22 years and now I am a media specialist and run an eMac lab at Will Rogers Elementary School. I went to college at Southeastern State College.
I graduated from ECU with a B.S. degree and later with a Masters of Education and am now 16 hours from a doctorate degree.
I would be interested in hearing from any of the folks who went to school with me or any of my sisters.
In 1997, I was diagnoised with breast cancer. I began a search then of some of my friends.
I have been back to Tushka and Atoka several times. I keep contact with Flora and Debbie and Ron Scott.
I share many wonderful, fun and a little crazy stories with my students about "the old days".
I have only been to two r...Expand for more
eunions at Boggy Depot.
I would like to go back into the old gym.
The economy was and is so depressed in that part of the state that it was only feasible that we all leave.
I don't know much about anyone, because my life is so different from those years.
I've always been disappointed that I was not ask to speak at a graduation or something. It would be interesting to speak about the solid foundation once achieved can lead to a brighter future.
I feel confident that I'm not the only one who has grown up some, and needs closure on the past.
Those days were like no others...strange to say the least, but we made it.
Brenda Duncan Hitt (hitt is just like you hit a ball, only with two tt'.) I still like to talk and listen a little. I consider each day a gift and I feel sorry for those who do not share my passion for life. I am always happy to hear from friends from the past. I would not change many things in my life, but I would have played more and worked less.
Hey, you guys lets have a 35 year class reunion, soon. Brenda call me at (405) 308-9957
