Brenda's Story

Brenda's schools include Pike High School. Brenda later attended Purdue University where shereceived a B.S. in chemistry and worked at Eli Lilly as a chemist. Later she received a masters in education from I.U. and in 1988 founded Worthmore Academy a full time alternative school, k-12th grade, for children with learning differences (a.d.d., a.d.h.d., autism spectrum, dyslexia. ....). Brenda continues as the director of Worthmore and also serves as an advocate for families with children with learning differences. She also works part-time at Stein Mart and volunteers as the director of music for Goo...Expand for more
d Shepherd Lutheran Church. Brenda is a member of the Board of Directors of the Indianapolis Multiple Sclerosis Foundation and serves as their secretary. She is also a member of the Indianapolis Sports Corporation and volunteers for many of their events. Brenda sang with the Indianapolis Opera for over 20 years and performed and recorded with the Indianapolis Handbell Ensemble for 17 years. In 2010 Brenda had the honor of singing at Carnegie Hall. Brenda continues to perform with the Castlewood Singers. She also loves animals and over the years has rescued many. She is also a major Colts fan!!
