Brenda's Story
Hey everyone, I married my high school sweet heart and have been married for almost 30 wonderful years, I have two boys, Michael 26 and Daniel 23. My oldest has been married for about 3 years and my youngest graduated with his BS from Piedmont College in Georgia and played basketball for them while maintaining a 3.7 GPA. He has a grad assistant position so has already started on his Masters. I stayed home with my boys for 17 years and then joined the work force for 5 years working for Honeywell for 2 years and Ethan Allen for another 2 years as office manager. working part-time about 2-1/2 years ago. My husband took a new position with Honeywell requiring us to move back to Ohio last Summer. We had a home built in Monroe, OH and moved in this past November. I was diagnosed with a rare form of muscular Dystrophy in Feb 2012, but after waiting for almost 3 years to get a diagnosis it was a relief to know what was going on with my body. I am self-employed, working just part-time doing administrative work for an old customer of mine from Georgia. Life is great and I'm enjoying my journey, no matter what the diagnosis is. Hope to hear from some of you.
