Brenda's Story

Hello to All! I moved away from The Keys when I was 16 - and graduated from Miami Edison High (Class of '68) ... but my family owned a home in Indian Waterways, on Plantation Key (near Coral Shores High School) ... and we went to The Keys every summer for many years. I don't get down there much anymore ... but have such great memories of my time there! Brief HX: In '71, married to Wayne Curry (Class of '67 - Edison). Had two terrific boys (Marshall - 33 and Christopher - 29 - who married our beautiful daughter-in-law - Carey). Wayne & I were divorced after 13 years. I moved to Tampa. Wayne remarried (to Beth, a really wonderful woman - and they have a beautiful daughter - Brittany). They now live in Tallahassee, FL. We have all remained friends - and we share a common love for all of 'the kids'. For over 25 years I have been a Producer & Director of videos, and corporate meetings and events. It's been a great career and has allowed me to travel the world - and I've met lots of very interesting people and have learned about so many different fields and industries. Doing the corporate work allows me the opportunity (and pays for) the many non-profit projects that I've worked on - and I have had the pleasure to produce videos or events for Give Kids The World, The Children's Home, The Guardian Ad Litem Program, American Cancer Society, The Florida Holocau...Expand for more
st Museum, Resurrection House, Family Service Centers and St. John's Ophthalmic Hospital in Jerusalem - just to name a few. Has been a great - and rewarding career! I have lost touch with most of my old friends from CSHS and Miami Edison ... but would love to hear from any of you out there who read this (and who remember me). Okay - even if you don't remember me - please feel free to write. : ) I came back down to Miami and The Keys - for the 20 year reunion of the Class of '68 - for both schools - and it was so great to see so many old friends. But that was 'many moons ago' ... so I am hoping to reconnect again ... especially my Sorrota Sisters and Concert Chorus friends at Edison and Cheerleading at Coral Shores. Okay - even the Bowling Team gang at Edison - though I'm still reluctant to admit that I actually lettered in Bowling (ha ha). But I can now admit that I was only on the team to get out of Mr. Etingoff's Office Practice class. True Confessions. : ) Will look forward to hearing from some of my former classmates! I have such fond memories of my times at CSHS and Edison! They were good years. Cheers, Brenda (Ripley) Curry P.S. I didn't attend North Miami High, Central High or Florida Southern College - just put them in my communities to try to reconnect with many friends who attended those schools - who were part of my life during those years.
