Brenda's Story

Life Life has been a blast and a b**** since leaving high school. I somehow gravitated to the medical field and am now working as a registered nurse. I have been working in the psychiatric field for thirty years now. I finally finished my dance degree and I am still in the process in considering a career change. I also returned to school to advance my nursing career while considering this career change. In nursing, it seems like education is forever and ever and ever... I still live in the Mountain Empire area. I have been married for 11 years and it is still going strong. I have two dogs, Grizz and Miss Ellie (This was my husband's idea because he is a "Dallas" fan) We also have two cats, Sophie and Lizzie (Dada's little dumpling) I have never lost my penchant for Harley Davidsons. I have fond memories riding "Piglet" to school rain or shine. I still reminisce being in the band, chorus and drama and the group of kooks we were. Those were fun times. I am revising this story because the only Harley Davidson I got is a little model HD. I can deal with that. My husband and I both hav...Expand for more
e warped senses of humor. I have told some of my clients in the past that humor is the sign of a well mind, albeit "avant garde" at times. My brother, John, is doing okay. He lives in Las Vegas. A few years ago, he was involved in a plane crash. He was the only survivor and his two best friends were killed. He did sustain serious injuries but he was able to pull through. My other brother, Bill, lives in PA and is doing okay as well. He has his own business and teaches classes. My sister, Sandra, also lives in PA, has two sons. She is a happy grandma and I am a happy great auntie. Recently my husband became a grandpa and I am now a Nana. Oh joy!!! I recently became licensed in therapeutic exercise and movement and plan to start class in 2010. I hope eveyone who attended Mt. Empire has had good lives and they all have love with their families and friends, and fond memories of Good Ol' MEHS like I do. A "kook" forever BJ AKA Brenda Update... good times don.t ;last a lifetime but cherish them. My husband passed away 09/12. It was the best 15 years of my life. Am surviving
