Brenda's Story
A year out of high school I married and soon started a family. I have two wonderful sons. Twelve years later divorced and have remained friends with the boys dad.I moved to Arlington and taught Pre K-4 for a few years before becoming the nanny for a wonderful family with two daughters. I stayed with that family for 14 years. I moved on to teaching Pre K again for a couple of years. I soon met another lovely family with two sons and became their nanny.

gery, the oncology, the chemo and radiation. My brain was whirling like a tornado with all the information I was getting. I met the scarecrow with a brain in my oncology doctor. She made out a plan to fight this cancer. I met so many "Tin Man" people on my way. With all the big hearts around me,I was never alone. Boy what courage I had to dig up when my hair started to fall out. I still remember the day the minute and the feeling when it happened. Now that was what hurt the most. Funny thing is, that after one big cry at each fork in the road, I never cried about it again. I'm happy to say that as of today I'm still cancer free. Aug.26, 2010 I'll be able to say for sure that the cancer is gone.
Except for that...I've had a wonderful life. Now that we are retired {my life long partner of 25 years}I'm looking forward to traveling around the USA.
