Brenda's Story

It's hard to believe that I left Brockport 2 weeks after graduation and have only been back once! I graduated with a BA in business and was a manager at Foley's (Like Macy's) for 3 years. I realized that I hated retail management so it was back to college. I earned my computer science degree and taught at Galena Park High School and San Jacinto College for 5 years. I left teaching to sell insurance for State Farm. I decided that the business world really wasn't for me and turned in my license to sell life and auto insurance. I love to teach and have always loved working with "special"...Expand for more
children. I've been teaching special education for over 9 years and LOVE IT. Each day is different and exciting. My main area of training has been with Autism. Before moving to Wimberley (near Austin) I was being trained to be the Autism Specialist for the intermediate school I taught at. My first marriage was terrible, after 6 months I got out of a very controlling situation. I've been married to the love of my life for over 24 years. Paul and I have one daughter, Heather. Heather and David made us proud grandparents over a year ago to a precious little boy. Check out his picture!
