Brent's Story
After Burnaby North, I attended the British Columbia Institute of Technology (Biomedical Electonics) and worked in the Psychology Department at UBC for five years. I was assisted in research primarily in different prisons where to see if there were physiological reasons that could tell the difference between psychopaths and regular inmates. I then went to Western Washington University in Bellingham and graduated in Audiology. After graduating, I worked for 15 years as an Audiologist at a facility for people with severe developmental handicapped which I loved doing. Oak Bay and have continued in that practice over the past 20 yrs. It has gradually grown and we now have two clinics with 3 other audiologists. I also work for the University of Victoria and University of British Columbia primarily taking on students for experience.
I have been married to Tricia for the past 25 years which has been wonderful. We took 5 weeks off to celebrate with a trip to Ireland. She is the office manager for our clinics. I have three children and now have two grandchildren.
I enjoy: running, gardening, sailing, activities at our church, seeing the grandchildren and much more!
I feel very lucky in the way things have gone!
