I read somewhere that we spend our lives after high school either trying to live up to or live down the reputations we created in high school.... Did I have a reputation in high school? I think I was kinda obscure. I know I entered junior high extremely shy, afraid of my own shadow but left high school somewhat confident and liking my shadow. Life after Grants High,, Well,, perhaps it's not so different than most, marriage, divorce, kids, grand kids, jobs, disappointments triumphs. in the end we look back, we evaluate, we breathe deep and we move ahead. I like to think no matter what I have done or been I have hopefully done so with a good heart and intent. It's a funny point standing here in my life. Kind of at a cross roads, a middle point if you will. looking back over the path I have just traveled and looking forward to what lies ahead. Regret? hmmmmmm not a word I like but as they say if I knew then what I know now.... Trouble is, decisions choices,, they define us, they make us what we are and open the doors to what we can become. Should I wish to change them thus changing what I know and who I am? I say NO, I take what consequences I have EARNED good or bad.
