Bret's Story
Life
Only one child left at home now. The boys are living in Texas, opting not to join us in the move to Michigan. I expect our daughter to fly the coop soon.
Michigan? How the hell did we end up here?
Workplace
Currently working for a company in Ann Arbor, Michigan as Vice President, Support Services. I've spent the last 24 years in the pre-press industry, starting out as a salesman before migrating through several management positions in support, service, and product marketing. There was a lot of travel over the years (nearly one million miles on Delta...Expand for more
alone) but I rarely get to step on an airplane these days.
We moved from Oklahoma to Atlanta before landing in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Michigan came calling in early 2003 and we've lived here since.
Military
Three years in the Army, spent mostly at Fort Carson outside Colorado Springs. Got to spend a little time with the 101st Airborne qualifying for Air Assault (I still love helicopters). Did a short training stint in Germany back when doctrine said the Russians were coming through the Fulda Gap. All in all, a great experience that I wouldn't trade.
