Bret's Story
Life really began for me after high school when I moved to D.C. for a while and came back to attend UNC-Charlotte and Appalachian State. I earned a Master's in Industrial Psychology and have worked for the State of NC as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor and supervisor for the past fifteen years. I feel like I have the most rewarding job in the world in helping people with disabilities find suitable employment and empowering them in other areas of their lives as well. ...Expand for more
I call Shelby home (for now), but you never know what the future holds. One of my goals in life is to do more traveling and I did take a cruise to the Bahamas three months ago. I have an opportunity to visit France next month and see my sister, who will be on sabbatical from her Peace Corp stint in Senegal. However, that will probably have to be put on hold. If I had to do it all over again, I would have tried to be more outgoing in high school and make better grades!
