from high school I went to the University of Idaho where, on the first day, I met my future wife, Kristin. I fought wild land forest fires for 3 seasons then worked full time at Signs By Smith in Garden City while my wife finished nursing school at BSU. We sold the home we had built off of Gary lane to move north again for a job opportunity at a company called D8. I stayed at D8 for 7 years, doing CAD, digitizing, and 3 axis machining for aluminum tooling for the EPS industry. One of the companies we did work for while at D8, was Bell Sports in Santa Cruz, CA. Some of the people at Bell knew I was ready for a change, and made me aware of a manufacturing engineering position that came open that they all wanted me to apply for. I did, and got the job. been at bell 2 years as of October of Â06Âlove it. I work with a lot of active people who are passionate about their work and play. We ride mountain bikes at lunch and groups of us will ride motocross or trails on weekends. We of often attend races as a group and bring our families along. It is a great work environment.
I married in 1992 and we had our first baby in September of 1995 (Micaela). Our second child came in November of 1997 (Hailey). We got custody of our 3rd (adoption was, and is, too messy in this case) in 2005 (Amber). We lived next door to Amber for about 6 years while I worked in north Idaho, and it worked out for everyone for us to get legal custodyÂAmber is now 13.
There have been some very trying times, but we are all pretty happyÂ
