Brett's Story

2009 2 years ago I thought it would be cool to make a movie. 6 months later I took a 48 hour film course by Dov Simmons. 6 months later I was shooting my first movie. It fell apart. I kept going, made up a story and had the actors push it over the top, adlibing. They did, it worked. Creative editing for me on a first. many problems had to be overcome. Like learning how to do everything. it is now a 42 minute ghost story. 'A Texas Tale of Terror'. but 6 months ago I started getting ready to shoot a western. Just shot it. A Texas Western set in 1881. 'Texas and Me' will be ready within 6 months. and its good. I am going to produce a lot of Texas Westerns, so stay tuned. The second will be "Old Tascosa, Texas". We'll shoot it this summer. I am also riding a pedicab in downtown Houston. a Comedy is coming from the experience and its just fun. Still doing the Dr. Brett profession, but making movies is my passion and profession. so stay tuned and check out pigproductions.US and my add in Texas Monthly the July 2010 issue. to see what is coming. Life is good I graduated High school, barely. I really still don't know how due to my party lifestyle. Well... it felt like a lifestyle at the time. Probably just a drunken dumbass kid. Then... Moved to Houston the day after graduation where I started college and worked for Warrior Construction. Of course not having a clue how to study, my 1st semester introduced me to reality, so in to the Army I marched. Did very well though, Airborne Ranger, lotsa good times, lotsa bad times. I was extremely lucky and there was no war through those years. I married at the end of my tour, to a Yankee,;) then back to Houston. Started college with a whole new attitude. Then back to Army life for 3 months, Sadams first time ended before I went over seas. Then back to Houston. I found I liked school, which was a good thing for all the courses I took to get the basics that I slept through during High school. Uncle Sam pays so I am returning this next year to finish a Masters I started a few years back. After 13 years my X informed me that she was through with me as she took off with another, Happy Birthday to me. --To all of the women in my past that I wronged in any way, be it known that Karma beat the living hell out of me.-- Fo...Expand for more
rtunately, it turned out to be the best birthday present she ever gave me + they left the state and I have no kids. I wish her... well? And I apologize to the great State of Texas for my indiscretions with the Yankee.;) Life is really good now and I still live in my house which is a two mile run on the park trail from my front door to Galveston Bay, I have no desire to live anywhere else. I have been with the best girlfriend (Texan;) I have ever had, for over 6 years, I smile a lot. I am currently driving my 96 camaro,He was a state trooper that ran between houston and san antonio, and i had to name it a male name due to all the testerone. I just like em. I am in the Masons. I am by no means wealthy, but I really like what I do and life is just good and best of all, I keep waking up alive.... its on my website if you are interested... Stresscombat.com Well, thanks for the interest. I hope your life is going well, and all your objectives are accomplished or on the way to being. Have a good day... I'm going sailing;) wow, time flies. 07 was a great year. but 08 is a whole new world. I am filming my 1st feature film in two months, and two more in preproduction. more to come... College The University of Houston Clear Lake and San Jacinto College are both 10 minutes from my house. I went to school...
