Life
Anyone who knew me will be unsurprised I ended up pursuing computers as a career. After bouncing around as a contract programmer, in 1996 I ended up in Silicon Valley in California. There I worked at Pretty Good Privacy, Inc. (PGP) until they were bought by McAfee at the end of 1997. A friend and I left PGP to found what became EMusic, where I was VP of Engineering. I met my wife online in 1994 (!), and we married in 1996. We live in San Carlos, CA (just south of San Francisco) and have two boys, born in 2000 and 2002.
Hobbies-wise, I enjoy woodworking, coming up with creative (but legal!) ways around California's gun laws, video games, reading, astronomy, and continuing to mess around with computers.
