Nancy's Story
I married my high school sweetheart (Gary) in 1971. We reared a son and a daughter who have now given us three grandchildren between them. What a joy the grandchildren are! If I'd known how wonderful being a grandmother was going to be I'd have done it first!
Gary and I moved back to HIS home - Waynesville, NC - after his discharge from the Air Force. I live in the beautiful and affordable mountains of North Carolina now ...Expand for more
(about 4 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway in the Great Smoky Mountains) and have for 22 years. Who knew that green was such a lovely color? I discovered green and lots of fresh water when I moved to NC. VERY different from southern CA!
I am now self-employed and am enjoying the freedom it has given me. No more 40 hour weeks for me. I am now 59 and believe I've paid my dues, So, I'm playing more than working these days!
