Brian's Story

Life Married to Gail Kizner (Northwood '67) 2 children Sarah and Ariel. Living in Israel. BA-Univ. of Md. MSW- U. of Chicago. Licensed family therapist. Despite living in this crazy part of the world, we have a great life. We love to travel and periodically "jump" over to Europe for a long weekend and some good food. Both our children are married to wonderful partners and we have 2 grandchildren. Grandchildren are a wonderful invention and the fact that they live 1 hour away is just perfect. Both "kids" inherited my passion for photography (yearbook and newspaper). Our daughter studied inustrial design at the Rhode Island School of Design and our son teaches scuba diving and ...Expand for more
does underwater photography. This was written awhile ago and an update is in order. We are still very happy living in Jerusalem, but as retirement nears we will move to the big city - Tel Aviv to be nearer a true cultural center, the beach and long, flat areas that are good for walking. And, of course, 4 of our 5 grandchildren live in Tel Aviv. 3 and 4 are fraternal twins who couldn't be more different physical and emotionally. They are a joy to be around. Our daughter wanted to "try" for a girl and she got twin boys! Our son's wife recently gave birth to their first - also a boy. So we have 5 grandsons from newborn (2014) to 8 years old. It is a treat to see them growing up.
