Brian's Story
Cheryl and I live in Sinking Spring and celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary on August 14. Our children are daughters, PSU grad Amanda (husband Bill and grandson Liam), KU grad Erica (husband Brady, grandsons Aidan and Brennan, granddaughter Taylor) and son, Temple grad, Kyle. Amanda and Erica both teach in the Fleetwood School District and Kyle is an investigative environmental reporter and assistant high school wrestling coach in the Philadelphia area.

ple University (Brian). I am now retired from both the Reading School District (34 years) and Kutztown University (10 years) and am happily engaged in tag team grandparenting with Cheryl. Northwest alums may find it humorous that I served as principal of Northwest Junior High School from 1986 to 1991, when five of the teachers from "our time" were still on the staff. Mr. Ryan showed me his grade book from when I was in his 7th grade English class. I did well enough that it wasn't embarrassing, but it wasn't much to brag about, either! Cheryl retired after 32 years in the Reading District. She substitutes occasionally for art teachers she knows when her very busy schedule permits.
