Retired from sole proprietorship in 2013 and enjoyed it until I heard that the Huntingdon County Director of Veterans Affairs was interviewing possible replacements. I applied at 70, not thinking I'd get hired, but I did. Took some training from the DMVA, and officially started as director in January 2019. Just starting my 4th year and loving it. Still living in PA (although did live in NW Chicago region for 6 years after discharge from the USN). Parents moved here while I was a senior at Manlius Military School. I went to PSU until 1968 when I joined the USN. Spent all my time in the Western Pacific w/multiple tours in Vietnam, both blue- and brown-water.
