Brian's Story
Life
As most of you already know, I married my sweetheart from Jr. High. We own a house in So Cal and recently had another baby girl. We discovered the hard way how fortunate we are to have Jade and Violet. Children are truly a miracle and blessing.
In 2000, I left the Aerospace industry to break into micro-electronics. Oddly enough, I ended up instructing part time at Cal State Long Beach. (who would have ever thought?) This lead me to partner with some ambitous friends to start the latest Electronic Design Automatic company. We had begun to dominate the market when things went bad and the company suddenly closed. After that intense experience, I started working for a rapidily growing electronics company. How many people work and play on the beach!

ay before. I can't begin to remark on the good times. All I can say is that I am very fortunate for my friends, engineering societies, and the Tau Beta Pi 'office' that we abused so much.
Workplace
I'm the guy who never liked to travel or give big presentations. But life is ironic and my career has launched me to places no one knew existed. I've seen the good and bad of Tawain, China, Japan, and some country that doesn't have a pronounceable name. I was even in Beijing during the SARS outbreak. Should I mention the "food" in these places? Let's just say that the locals drink alot of alcohol with meals. (It kills the micro-organisms and covers up the "flavor").
In all that discussion, I never brought up my work. It's micro-electronics. You already knew that and really don't want to know more. But I will tell you that the micro-chips in the electronics you use every day could have my daughter's name embedded inside of it.
