Brian's Story
School
I think my favorite school years were at Lombard. Once I hit high school I started working and have been working ever since! I met some of my best friends at Lombard. I have lost touch with many of them and would love to be able to keep in touch with them again. OH, and to clear something up!! On the school profile the last question asked what I would do differently if I were back in high school. I hit the only answer that made sense to me--I would have asked him/her out. I want to clarify that I WOULD NEVER HAVE ASKED HIM OUT!!!!!! ONLY HER!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for allowing me to straighten that out!
College
I was a late bloomer. All through school I was basically an "A" student. Right out of high school I attended Carl Sandburg College. I didn't take it too seriously as I was on the baseball team as a pitcher. I had a 3-2 record on a team that had an 8-16 record!! not too bad since I hadn't played ball since I was 12 years old. e wind was blowing 65 miles per hour. Now that was a fun game! It wasn't till I went into the ministry that I went back to finish my college. At CSC my gpa was around 2.5, when I went back as an older student at WIU my GPA was almost 4.0. It is amazing how age has a way of bringing maturity to ones life! I got my Masters Degree in Divinity and have enjoyed the pleasures of counseling others and living a life of serving others. As a Manager of Target I look forward to moving to a warm climate somewhere!
Workplace
Life changes have had me on the move. GM with Hardee's and Wendy's. Pastor of a Christian Church and am currently a manager of Target. I have had to move a few times the last few years due to my moms failing health. My dad passed away back in 1996 and my mom just recently passed away on Easter of 2003. I left my career so that I could take care of her. She suffered two strokes on thanksgiving day of 2002. After she died, I searched for a job in the area. My background was perfect for Target and it is a perfect fit for me.
