Brian's Story
Life
Hey All,
There a lot of water under the bridge since Brentwood High. I got to spend for fun-filled years at MIT. Boston was awesome, but MIT kicked my ass. I managed to get out of there with a ÂBÂ average, so I decided to declare that a victory.
I joined a fraternity my freshman year and met the love of my life on my first day there. The ironic twist is that it was one of my fraternity brothers. Charlie and I have been together for 21 years now (yikes!).
We moved from Boston to San Francisco in 1987 for warmer weather. We had a blast living in the Haight Ashbury and then in the Castro where we bought our first home. In 1998, we bought a second home in Hawaii (while the prices were still low). In 2000, we decided that we were tired of being full-time engineers, so we decided to try the laid back world of engineer consulting.
To help us cut back our expenses, we sold out place in San Francisco and moved to New Orleans. The living is pretty cheap and easy down here. We got a place right in the French Quarter. WeÂd been here for Mardi Gras about 14 times, so we decided that we should try living here sometime. It really has been a trip.
We really like it here except that it get REALLY hot in the summer and it lasts for a long time. We went to Hawaii for the 3 months in 2001 and 2002, but we made the mistake of staying here last year. This summer weÂre planning a trip to Amsterdam, Barcelona and Prague for 3 months.
Just saw Debbie Angelo, and her cute little son, Elliot, last weekend. HeÂs just 2 ½ months. Debbie got a married about 2 years ago, and I got to see Mike Kammermeier and Chris Ciotti at her wedding (along with Mr. Homison). On a darker note, we also got to see Dave Shremp at her wedding as well, but he passed away right after that from a brain tumor.
For those that remember, Becky, my girlfriend from KeyStone Oaks, she is alive and well in Minneapolis. She moved to SF right after we did, got married in the late 90s, had her daughter in 1999 and started law school in Minneapolis in 2000 (sheÂs still crazy). WeÂre heading up to visit her and her family next week.
Hope all is well wherever you ended up !!!
