Brian's Story
Hi fellow LaPlata High Graduates! Our class of 1984 twenty five year reunion is coming up this year, which is hard to believe. I look forward to coming back to Maryland to see people I have not seen in 20 years.
I am now living in Kerrville, Texas which is near San Antonio. It is in the Hill Country which is the prettiest part of Texas. I am married to my wife Susan who is from England and has two children who currently live in Windsor England and New Zealand. We have three dogs and live in a new neighborhood with a stunning view of the hills.
I completed my Masters in Social Work in 2007 and am working at Kerrville State Hospital, which is a Forensic Psychiatric Hospital. It is a very rewarding job with great state benefits. enjoy the slower pace of a small town of 20,000. People are very friendly and the stress level is very low. We have enjoyed going to England once a year (which is new to me) and I have appreciated the beauty of the Country and its traditions and way of life.
We have finally found a good church, (First United Methodist Church of Kerrville) and have made some wonderful friends and find this church to be very family oriented and active in doing fun and rewarding things together.
I have started running and have enjoyed completing Austin¿s Half Marathon two times over the past couple of years. I am too old for competitive sports and enjoy the road time in training for these events. It also does not hurt to keep off the weight that seems to come much easier after I turned 40!!!! I look forward to catching up with friends from the day and hearing how everyone else is doing.
