ntered U.C. Davis in Fall, 1977 as a transfer student majoring in Geology, graduating with a B.S. in 1979. I met Clare there, and we were later married in 1980, while attending UCLA. After obtaining a Ph.D. in Geochemistry in 1984, I took a job at the U.S. Geological Survey in Denver. I am still at the USGS, managing a geochemistry and geochronology lab. My work has taken me to Japan, Australia, England, Germany, and Uganda, as well as many different parts of the US and Canada. Clare and I have two daughters, one in high school and the other in college.
