I went to Glassboro State College and earned a BA in mathematics and then went to Rensselaer Polytechnic briefly to do graduate work in mathematics. While at Glassboro State, I met Saskia Schmidt. ld War. During that time I also did some graduate work in mathematics at New York University, Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences. After the Cold War ended I returned to South Jersey and the Computer Sciences Corporation doing research engineering for air traffic control systems. These days I have my own engineering practice and continue to do research engineering for air traffic control, most recently in association with the NASA Ames Research Center and the Computer Sciences Corporation. Saskia and I have two teenaged children, a dog and a mortgage. We go back to New York City as often as time permits.
