Bridget's Story
Life
After high school, I commuted via rail to work full-time in downtown Chicago, while putting myself through college part-time. I attended Prairie State College where I majored in photography and art.
In 2000, I married the love of my life, Richard Pawlak (Thornwood 1990). We spent our honeymoon in Maui and began our new life together in Homewood.
After giving up my career as an Executive Assistant at J. Walter Thompson Advertising in Chicago in 2001 to finish college full-time and be a housewife, we transplanted ourselves to Manteno, IL after finding an adorable "fixer-upper". We are still in the process of renovating the 145 year old historical home and it's gardens. Our latest project is a 2000 sq. foot addition which will break ground in the spring 2008.
In 2005 my life long dreams became a reality. I opened Doves Photography Studio (Manteno, IL) AND became a mommy! After 5.5 years of infertility struggles, my husband and I were finally blessed with a baby boy (Brendan) on Christmas Eve 2005. After another 14 months of strugg...Expand for more
les, we are finally expecting our second baby in June 2008!
My studio has been growing beyond my wildest dreams. I wish I would have opened it a long time ago, but timing is everything. Those milestones since graduation were meant to be taken to get me where I am today.
My studio offers services in weddings, high school seniors, children, babies, maternity, families, fashion and commerical photography. I have dedicated my life's work through art by capturing decisive moments on film in one's life. Besides being a wife and mother, my creative work is what feeds my soul. And the best part is, my business allows me to balance home life. My motto is, "God, family, then the business"!
I now enjoy the marriage, house, career and family I have always wanted. I can honestly say that I am happy, healthy and blessed in so many ways. I still have hopes and dreams for our future, but that's what keeps us going. I savor every moment of our lives together, enjoying the simple things. They truly are the greatest gifts from God!
