Bridget's Story
Life
Married to Larry Delavan (class of 75) since 1979. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in 2004! One child, Michael Craig, (yes, my maiden name is his middle name) born in 1987. Worked as legal administrative assistant for two lawyers from 1976 to 1988. Quit job to raise our son and started freelance writing business from home. Also, raised two dogs, Lucky and Bronson, since 1993. Did some business profile stories and a career corner column for Royal Oak Neighborhood Times. Specialized for 15 years in writing resumes (had a resume I wrote published in several different books) and for the last three years have made a transition into writing Life Histories, creating Photo Family Trees and Memory Scrapbooks (GRADUATION, Wedding, Anniversary, Vacation, Pet, etc). I love to preserve my own and other families' memories and photographs. I also specialize in personalized, one-of-a-kind, photo, cartoon and fantasy photo designs on t-shirts, other apparel and decorative items. Check out my new website at Fantasyphotoplus.com In February of 2006, I started an eBay business selling lots of different items including home & garden, clothing, collectibles, dvd & movies, books, dolls, memorabilia and my own Commemorati...Expand for more
ve Keepsake creations. My eBay selling name is keepsakebridget!
My husband, Larry, is an Area Manager for Hubert Distributors/Anheuser-Busch (he IS known as the Bud guy in many Oakland County bars and restaurants in his territory...friends call him that too). Larry has worked for one wine company and three beer companies, since he started in the industry as a sales rep in 1987.
Our son, Mike, is a 2005 graduate of Kimball High School. Of course we think he is a great kid. He is attending Grand Valley State and wants a career in film and video production. He is very talented in front of and behind a camera. On May 12th, 2005 he won a 3rd place Courageous Persuaders award and a $500 scholarship for a 30-second commercial aimed at persuading middle schoolers not to abuse alcohol. The competition was tough, with students from 95 high schools submitting commercials. To see his "Losing a Friend" clip, go to Couragefirst.com. Mike was born a day after the 1987 academy awards and I had a feeling that he would somehow be involved in the entertainment industry, so we'll see, but he's off to a good start! Our older dogs (they grew up with Mike) are enjoying the extra attention from us, now that Mike is away at college!
