Life Went to Taiwan in 1991 to teach English. Met an American at a church single's group in Taipei and got married in 1994. Had a daughter in 1998 and then returned to the states later that year. Lived in Rochester NY tutoring and subbing adult ESL for three years. My absolutely favorite class was my "spy" class. Just after 9/11 and I had two Israelis who were from Morroco (in thier sixties), Afgani (mother of 11), Libyan (young twenties and pregnant), and Mainland Chinese (loved Mao -- sixties). One day I blew the Muslims and Jews away by bringing in a copy of dietery laws that showed that the both basically had the same rules. Just moved to Olathe KS in the end of 2001 -- hubby got a new job. Involved in church, freecycle, and volunteering at daughter's school while also attending school. We live in a great non=convenant neighborhood with a seven year old, dog, cat (Chinese stray), hermit crabs, and interestingly painted rooms.
