Bob's Story
Life
I work as a union organizer representing various types of professional employees in the public sector such as engineers, attorneys, etc. I negotiate their salaries, benefits and conditions of employment. We're a growing union because so few professionals belong to unions and they need to be.
I am married to Terri and I have one step-son Simon who is already 33 years old!
I am president of my church Board and keep very busy with that. I hope to be retired one day and spend all of my time traveling and researching my genealogy.
UPDATE 2015: I have now finally retired. Gee, it's like winning the lottery. I guess some of you have known that for a few years. I thought I would have time to get everything done once I retired, but guess what? I still have things lingering on my to do list. I have done some traveling since I retired last year. My wife, Terri, and I went to Mexico, Puebla a...Expand for more
nd Oaxaca last year...very good memories. We just came back from a trip to England and Wales. My wife has cousins there she met through genealogy and we had a great time visiting them on their farm near the North Yorkshire Moors. I was able to visit the church where my 9th great grandfather, William Bradford was baptized in 1590. At that time the church, Saint Helena, was already 500 years old. It's still standing today. Bradford is probably the most famous of the Pilgrims who founded Plymouth Colony in 1620 after their voyage from Plymouth Cornwall UK on the Mayflower. He was the governor of Plymouth Colony for over 30 years and wrote the definitive history of the colony and the Mayflower voyage. Most of my other genealogy ancestors were poor and illiterate. Does anyone know of plans for a 50th reunion for class of '66 next year? That's the main reason I've antied up for this service again.
