I went to 18 schools growing up and moved 22 times - my Dad was a Navy Chaplain so we moved VERY often...my hardest move was after being in Hayward-San Lorenzo for 5 years and then having to move South just 6 months before I was to graduate from Sunset High - BUT, I did meet a lot of really great friends the next few months at Hueneme High. I went on to Ventura College Nursing and married Ken Eggers who I had met in Oakland...I worked full time most of the time to put him thru school (9 yrs) to become a Lutheran Minister. Our first Call was to Galt, CA. where we adopted our beautiful twin sons who are now 43 yrs old! We lived in Monrovia, CA for 10 years and then 12 years in Newbury Park/Thousand Oaks where things really "fell apart" I was hit head-on by a drunk driver (140mph impact) and 1 man died in the other car. It was a hit & run with a stolen vehicle at 9:30 at night...just thankful I can walk and am alive.(i was left disabled but doing much better today) My boys left home at the same time so it was instant "empty nest" AND if that wasn't enough my suspicions were unfortunately proven correct, my Preacher hu...Expand for more
