Richard's Story
My story? Well, after Rio Mesa I ran track at Moorpark College where I did fairly well but not exactly world class. cs at Arizona State. After research fellowships at Texas A&M and Cornell, I took a faculty position at the University of Oklahoma. I have an active research program in the area of molecular evolution and am now Professor and Chair of the Department of Biology at OU. My parents moved to Palm Springs and I haven't been back to Ventura Co. much since the 1980s (except for Bret Miller's memorial). Hopefully I can get back there one of these days . . .
