Bartel's Story
Life
The picture is of my youngest daughter, in front of our house at easter. A surprise package at 45, she is dear to my heart.
Wow!! After 4 foster homes, the Denver Childern's home, Emily Griffith Boys Home and confusion as a young adult: I now consider myself to be very, very blessed and lucky.
Many of the kids I met in these homes did not fare very well and I feel pain for them everyday. I t...Expand for more
ruly am blessed; survived the army, got an MBA, been married to a beautiful woman for 24 years, 4 wonderful childern, own a nice home and still am in good health, (what more can one ask for).
I do volunteer work with the big brothers because I want these young men to know that what matters is what they think about themselves, not what other people think. In the end I hope I have helped someone.
