Greg's Story

Life God is extremely good. I have come along way from high school. I've been an enlisted Army soldier, an enlisted Marine, and now a Marine Corps Officer. I've lived in Korea, Germany, Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, Rhode Island, California, Virginia, and probably soon I will set my mail box in Iraq. I've earned my Bachelor's in Accounting; my certification in Food Service and Electronics; ran marathons, endure hardships, and today I am 54 days short of my 33rd birthday. I've copyrighted various literary articles, made plans to have my own corporation after I retire from military service in 5 years; yet, I can honestly my greatest accomplishment is not in relationship to men. My greatest accomplishment is that I have held on to the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. A Marine? Am I hard? No! I've found the greatest quality of a Marine is the willingness to sacrifice himself to do the things he knows should be done. Each day I get up and lace my boots, I remember where I came from, and I remember the days of practice on that football field, on that basketball court, and the times in those corridors. Their are no gurantees, only privileges. I still have much more to accomplish. To all who share the common experience of Abbeville Senior High School, a place in the middle of no place, I hope you still carry the torch--as I will continue to carry mine--. january 21, 2008 Now, I teach at Abbeville High (GED Math, Algebra and Geometry), and I am the assistant basketball coach. I love those kids because you can do so much good in their lives, and you can give so much back. Their is something special about seeing the sparkle in someone's eyes when they are enlightened about anything. You can see it, and the feeling is good! A wise man once told me "You can measure your life's substance through the love you have shared for others." I am continuing to live my...Expand for more
dream before God, and the dream continues to get better everyday. When my time comes I want to be remembered for my love for Jesus. I have no pride in that! I have no shame! I have no reluctance! I was created in the image of the Almighty not to be might but to be righteous, loving, sincere, unique. "What is my greatest fear?" It is that I would fail God and forsake his image in which he has entrusted himself unto me. I say this to all my classmates: If I can help you on your way, then I pray that I would. If I can encourage on your way, then I pray that I could. I am not ashamed of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is my banner! It is my righteousness! It is my living hope! It is the substance of my spirit and soul. By the time this is over it will have been proven, and my love in Christ will be firm. This is what I want everyone to know about me; many years ago I stepped on the potter's wheel. Seventeen years later, I am about to step off being entrusted to maintain all that God has entrusted in me. If he allowed me to be successful while on the wheel, then my Gpd to what shall I rise being approved of God strengthened and empowered to do his will. To God be the glory! One last thing! I would love to see if I could do Motivational Speaking. Therefore, if any of you out there know of an opportunity give me a shout out. I've always been a shy person except if their is a cause. Be good to yourself and stay strong! 6/27/2018 The one thing we all share is time. You choose what you do with yours by what life means to you. God gave. He gave so that I could live. At some point in each man or woman's life you have to come to terms with who God is and that truly every thing pertaining to life is about him. Every person should have a living hope, and that hope is Jesus Christ. Without a living hope all you have is a dead soul of troubled waters.
