Doyle's Story

Life After graduation I was a carpenter for awhile and in July 1950 went to work for Mountain States Telephone. Was a lineman for 9 months and the rest of my yrs was spent as a cable splicer. I married Lois Higgins 11-10-50 at ST Agnes church in Phx.We had 7 children and now have 18 grandchildren and 7 great. We moved to Idaho in 71. I retired from Mountain Bell in 83 after 33+ yrs. Lois and I started voluntering at the Peregrine Fund(world center for birds of prey) in 85. Three summers we released Peregrine falcons on the Elk Refuge outside Jackson,Wy. Wonderful work! In 87 I went to work full time for the Pergrine Fund. Got to work with eagles and falcons from all over the world. Also delivered 100's of Peregrine's for release in r...Expand for more
emote area's all over the west. What a GREAT job that was. They are now releaseing Ca. Condors in AZ. Left there in 94. Right now on the core team for life teen program at Holy Apostles Catholic Church in Meridian. Lois and I travel once in awhile. Some friends own a ranch in N.M. where they raise Mashona cattle from Africa so we go there and work sometimes.Go to Montana where I still have LOTS of reatives. In 86 Lois and I spent 3 weeks being lookout attendants on 9300 ft. St Marys in Mt. Lots of fun!! We have done lots more cool stuff but not enough space to write it down.
