Kathy's Story
Life
I have worked in the insurance industries for the last 34 years. Gary Jr is 35 this year and is a successful actor and high school drama teacher. He is also working on his Masters in Teaching. I have 1 other son, Jeremy, who will be 27 in Sept and is married, going to school in Tulsa, OK to become a commercial airline pilot and I have 3 stepchildren who I have mothered for the last 15 years. They are Brian (25), Andrea (24) and mother of my 2 granddaughers, and Kevin (23). My husband Rob also works in the insurance industry and is a really great guy. For those of you who are wondering, Gary Sr is living in Santa Cruz and is still working on getting his life together. We are on friendly terms and I just spoke to him on the 4th of July.
So the year is now 2012 and I am now disabled after working in the insurance industry for 40 yrs. My husband Rob & I will celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary on July 3rd of this yr. My parents are still alive and spend part of the year in Twaine Hart in a cabin they have owned since 1976 and the rest of the year in Palm Desert in a gated community and spend their time playing golf, swimming, traveling and Mom is still singing. Gary Jr is 45 and is getting married in August. He is the director at Qwest Drug and Alchol Treatment Center and is a practicing councellor. He is still acting and has had a commercial running for 1 1/2 yrs for the Spirit Mountain Casino (which is funny because of what he does in his main job). Jeremy & his wife and 2 children, Matthew 7 and Emily 5 now live in Redding, CA and he keeps busy as part of the Army Honor Guard for the Northern California area. e has been in the Army Reserves since he was 18 and we are very proud of him. We now have 7 grandchildren and the oldest is 14 and the youngest is 2. My bonus sons and daughter are all doing very well and the youngest, Kevin, is at PSU to get his degree and become a high school math teacher. I travel to Redding, Twaine Hart and Palm Desert each year and hope to make it to one of our reunions.
Earlier this year I attended the funeral of Peggy & Rebecca Adam's mom. Virginia. All the kids were there and it was great to see everyone and catch up. We lost my brother, Gary Brown, 2 yrs ago this past October. I still can't believe he is gone and we all miss him and his since of humor and the pranks he was always playing.
I always wanted to be a singer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right.

I spent a good part of my 20's singing in a couple of different groups and then after moving to Oregon I got involved in community theater and performed in over 15 differnt musicals. When I remarried and had another 3 children to raise along with Jeremy I had to give it up because there just weren't enough hours in the day but it was well worth it.
Unfortunately we have had no contact with Gary Anderson for over 6 years. Gary Jr and his step brother Elliot (who played football and is now a coach at a high school in San Diego) met in San Jose and went to Santa Cruz to find their Dad. Gary Jr looks so much like his Dad a lot of people commented on him looking like his Dad but no one was able to help them so after 4 days they both went home. We don't think we will ever see him again.
