Leslie (Glenn)'s Story
My family moved to Orlando sometime after the start of my Jr year at Colonial from Maryland. I knew no one. I was severely introverted. As of graduation in '70, I had begun to get more acquainted, but too late for any lasting relationships.
After about 9 years, I worked in maintenance for Orange County School Board. I remember how depressing it was to respond to assignments at Colonial, realizing I left no mark or remembrance of myself there. I was a none participant. I had/have fond memories, but all I have to show is a single, formal in the '70 Sentry.
I have since been married 2x, the last is going on 38 years. I have been blessed with 3 beautiful, successful daughters and 7 grandchildren. I retired in 2017 after 30 years in maintenance with Emory University in Atlanta. I now work part time as a customer service associate. I enjoy helping people, looking for a smil...Expand for more
e or laugh from them!
I look through the Sentry on CM from time to time. Mine failed to survive the years, Some of you I remember, some I do not. We may have had a class or two together. The person I was back then may have felt intimidated, shy, low self esteem, whatever. Young people back then as well as today sometimes carry more baggage than they need. I have learned that some are no longer with us. This has saddened me, especially knowing they were some I knew of but did not really know. I would like to change that.
My wife, Susan, is a private piano teacher with students from ages 4 to 75 (so far). She keeps it fun, interesting and satisfying for all ages.
I enjoy fishing, working in the yard helping neighbors, all kinds of handiwork.
I enjoy looking at pictures some of you post and will try posting some of mine soon.
Looking forward to attending the next reunion.
