Bob's Story
Hi: For what its worth.....since Keppel....Went to PCC for two years and marched in the Rose Parade three years with the Tournament of Roses Band. Touched my trombone very little since. Uncle Sam took me for two years, one in Korea. Met a gal from Orange County before going overseas and we were married soon after Uncle let me go. After a couple jobs I joined the LA Times and stayed there for 30 years. Jean and I have three, two boys and a girl....actually now two men and one lady.
We settled in the San Gabriel Valley. One year in an apartment in Alhambra led to a couple years in San Gabriel, then 20 years in Arcadia where the kids spent most...Expand for more
of their time. The next sixteen years were in Glendora so we could be close to the golf course. All three kids settled in Orange County. Actually one kept going down the coast to San Diego County. When the Grandchildren came along we started searching in the OC. We settled in a condo in Newport Beach. We are now close to the kids, grandkids and our new golf course. We are in reasonably good health, in spite of the fact that Old Man Time is hovering overhead ready to plant one of the BIG numbers on us.
l hope my time capsule wasn't too boring. There is more to life but too many details would really put you to sleep.
