Ed's Story

Life I think most folks know me as Ed, not Bruce. I graduated from Pinecrest in '73. Moved back to Alaska that summer. Returned to Southern Pines in '76 to attend Sandhills. Wound up working for Aberdeen PD as a midnight shift Dispatcher, then went to work for Moore County Sheriff's Department as a Dispatcher. Got married to Carol Campbell in '77. We had a son, Bruce III in Oct 79. Divorced in July 80. Became a Deputy Sheriff in Feb 1980, made Sergeant of Warrant Section in May '83. Married Jil Martindale of High Falls in Nov '81. Moved back to Alaska in August '83. Divorced in '86 when Jil fell in love with a co-worker. Worked in Anchorage and on ...Expand for more
North Slope Oil Fields. Became an Officer with the Alaska State Troopers in June 88. Anchorage PD made me an offer I couldn't refuse and so I went to work as a police officer in Anchorage. Married for last time May '91. Promoted to Detective in '96. Retired from Law Enforcement May 05. Moved to ranch in East Texas at that time. Went to work for NH company teaching what I did as a Detective (Electronic Surveillance and Tracking). My territory is seven states in the Southwest US. My wife and I (Yes, still married!) own four horses, one of which is mine, two Black Labs and a tabby cat. We have two Grandkids, both boys that live in the Pacific Northwest.
