Bruce's Story
Ok, so after a pretty low profile high school career, I continued that trend for a couple of years at ELAC, then transferred to San Diego State University, where my latent "Party" gene became dominant. Majoring in fraternity, which I never would have expected prior to SDSU, I did, in fact graduate with a BS (you decide) degree. Extracurricular activities included lots of intramural sports, having finally sufficiently recovered from knee surgery. Also bartended at John Bull Restaurant in National City and TA'd for a junior high school math teacher and picked up some programming skills in the process.
After college, I postponed serious pursuit of career by bartending at Glacier Bay Lodge in Alaska for the summer. Awesome place. Go there!
After a couple of subsistance jobs, finally found an awesome job at SMS (Shared Medical Systems) installing Hospital Information Systems. After 11 years of that, I moved to Mission Viejo, and took a position as Information Systems Director at Mission Hospital, which morphed into a corporate position with St. Jo...Expand for more
seph Health System. When the Health System decided to outsource its IT operations, to Perot Systems Corp (yep, that Perot), I transitioned to PSC for a few years.
Through our small group at Saddleback Church, I met Mark Gallagher, who convinced me to get a Real Estate license and come to work for Park Place Funding as a Loan Officer (Mortgage), which I have been doing since 2002.
Backing up a bit, I married my wife, Cindy, in 1986, and we have two awesome daughters, Kira and Karissa, currently 22 and 20 respectively. Kira just graduated from UCI (ZOT!) and Karissa is transferring there this fall. Both girls are awesome athletes. Kira played two years NCAA Division 1 volleyball at University of Pennsylvania (Ivy) and Karissa was recruited as a Diver, but opted not to compete in college. These girls are my pride and joy. Touch 'em and I'll kill ya!
That's about it. You're mostly up to date on my life. Drop me a line and let's catch up! I'm a pretty easy going guy and I'd love to hear from you, even if we didn't know each other all that well.
