I was at Kennedy the first year it opened. The cover of the first issue of the school newspaper had a picture of the Band with me, a cardboard whiskey bottle and the "bird". I was expelled from Kennedy because of that picture.
Two years and two high schools later I was back at Kennedy in 1969. I had many vists to the Office.
While in high school I joined a rock band called Ronny and the Regents. Later we changed our name to Church. We worked all the clubs and were regulars at The Sands and Crazy Horse. I did that for about 7-8 years with the last two at the Ivanhoe cl...Expand for more
ub on Bourbon Street, six nights a week till 4 AM.
I got sick of that and moved to "The Farm" in Summertown, TN which was the largest hippie commune in America. I stayed there for about 3 years. I did way too many psychedelics back then.
I headed back to N.O. and had JESUS kick me in the rear end and aimed me in the right direction.
Yada yada yada. I now live in the mountains about 90 miles north of Gatlinburg TN.
I was in Junk Mail advertising sending out pizza coupons by the millions. I broke my back lifting a BigGreenEgg BBQ Grill so now I pay retail for pizza.
I've been married to my lovely Tennessee Wife for 36 years.
No kids, one cat.
I know what it means to miss New Orleans.
