Bruce's Story
Life; Was kind of a "Wallflower" and shy in high school, Late Bloomer, busy with my passion for dirt bikes and racing them. Was in all the college prep "Track 1 Classes", but guess I was destined to be a blue collar mechanic type. Best class was metal shop! After high school, ran excavation equipment and repaired tractors. Built Harley choppers in early 70's. Joined Marine Reserves in early 70 followed by 2 year trade program at Glendale College to become a helicopter mechanic. Transferred to Army National Guard in'73 and progressed to a HUEY helicopter crew chief (flying mechanic). Obtained an airplane pilots license in '74. Raced dirt bikes in mid 70's, raced Baja 500 in 1976. Mid 70's flew all over Alaska with oil geologists and on Alaska pipeline for several summers with the helicopter, as a mechanic for private helicopter company.
Married 1st wife, had our son, built a house in Agua Dulce [in early 80's] Mid 80's raced Mountain Bikes. 1987 raced Mountain Bikes at LA Coliseum Superbowl of Motocross Half Time Race on Motocross Course. got second in my Veteran's Class (35 and over). 1990 first wife died , so I became a single father for 10 years.

oly Cross Hospital. We married in '99. We have 3 grown children between us, 6 grandkids.
We had Quarter horses for many years. I cowboyed on roundups, cattle drives, and team penned. Worked a few rodeos. Horses gone and we now live in beautiful Rancho Vista, in a tract house in The Antelope Valley, .
Retired in 2009 from the City of Los Angeles after 29 years where I maintained LAPD , LAFD and DWP helicopters. Spent last few years accepting new Los Angeles City Fire Department helicopters that were bought in Fort Worth, Texas and as a mechanic for the LAPD SWAT HUEY helicopter.
We plan to drive our 5th wheel rig every chance and see the backroads of the USA. PS: Best I could do on this story, got a "D" in composition in high school! Have taken up Landscape DLSR Photography which ties in with my enjoyment of exploring our National Parks and Desert Southwest. Heather and have been going to a Silver Sneakers Seniors Fitness class for several years now. Can also take care of myself and family with a 9mm.. Into Vintage Motorcycles and showing them at Car Shows. Have a Vintage motorcycle, Bultaco Enduro Dirt Bike, show winner, ride it around town too. Have a whole shelf full of 1st or 2nd place trophies for my prized 1975 Bultaco Enduro.
