Bruce's Story
1964, my last year to see most of you but I remember all of you. Now, many years later I know you were all unique and you all added to my life. Summer of 1964 was the start of another great life adventure, unknown at that time to me. It started off with a driving trip around the United States with Steve Lunceford. We touched many states, and I have touched the rest since then, Guam excluded. I know it is not a state. I moved to San Diego and went to San Diego State. Work seemed more exciting so I lived for a while at Mission Beach (1966-1971). If you know the place you know I did not work much. to do all the things I wanted to do.
I met my wife, Sally, in 1972 and have been by her side ever since. She had a passion for travel, and I have had a passion for sailing since I was 16. We have combined the two passions over the years and have filled over four passports, touched 75 +/- countries ( largest to smallest), and sailed to many of them. Sally still has a list of 50 countries to visit. The world was very large in 1964 and it is much smaller now. It is still very interesting to visit another culture. I don't think I will make it into space, that is for another generation and another life.
