I pretty much settled down in suburban San Diego in 1981 and still work for the Navy as a civil servant in naval engineering.
I'm widowed, then divorced, but my son has made me a grandfather a few times over. Circle of life, I guess.

How have YOU been?
Military
I have only GOOD memories of my time in CAPE COD, and I thank you if you are part of them.
A great bunch of shipmates, lucky enough to go to a number of interesting places - with not a great deal of hassle.
It was somewhat bittersweet a few years ago when working out at Norfolk Navy Yard to look off the stern of another ship and be more than a little surprised to see AD-43 go slowly by. Later that day, I found that "she" was, well, toast, and being decommissioned.
I still remember her as a new ship, I guess...
