Bruce's Story
Hi. After graduating from HS, I continued on to college at Dartmouth, Medical School at the Univ. of Cincinnati, residency in pathology at Harvard, fellowship in dermatopathology at Cornell and finally got a job at the age of 31. (Somewhere in there I got married and had two children). I served as an assistant professor at Cornell Medical School for a couple of years before spending 8 years at Stanford Medical School in California. My two boys are all grown up, with one at Brown University and one at Vassar College. My wife (of almost 28 years!!!!) is a history professor at a local University and I am the Chair of the Department of Pathology at the University of Arkansas Medical School. We almost never get back to Jericho, even though my parents still live in the house in which I was raised (as does my younger sister, Jill, along with her husband and younger child.). My youngest sister, Robin, actually lives around the corner from me, here in Little Rock.
