Bruce's Story
Bruce Wiegand has been married to Lynette Jean for 20 years, and has two daughters Rhyanna Taylor (age 17) and Malorie James (age 15). Bruce has over twenty seven years of Information Technology experience, the past eleven years in the healthcare industry. While at Michigan Primary Care Association (MPCA), Bruce has spent the past ten years developing an Application Service Provider (ASP) model called VirtualCHC, which utilizes state-of-art technology to deliver a variety of best-in-breed Health Information Technology (HIT) products. and pioneer in the computer industry, which provided turnkey CAD/CAM/CAE solutions. While at Intergraph, he further developed his IT skills while excelling in the roles of Field Engineer, Operations Supervisor, Branch Manager, Account Manager, and New Business Development Representative. Bruce spent over a year in Saudi Arabia as an Electronics Technician - Fire Control Systems, working in conjunction with the U.S. Navy and Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF). He also spent six years in the U.S. Navy in the Advanced Electronics Field as a Fire Control Technician - Missile (FTM). Bruce is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified HIPAA Security Specialist (CHSS), and Certified Professional in Health Information Technology (CPHIT).
