Bruce's Story
I went to Beloit College after Niles and majored in Geology. Worked summers in Arizona (Superstition Mtns.) and Wyoming near Devil's Tower. Then got a Master's in Geology at U. of I and went to West Texas for two years and Casper, Wyo. for 2 years. Then went back to school in 1961 and got a PhD in Geology at the Univ. of Colorado and started teaching Geology at Western State College of Colorado in Gunnison in 1965. nd love the mountains and recreation that goes along with it. I still ski- (both kinds-Nordic and downhill) mountain bike, hike and fly fish. I have been retired since 1998 and now active in community affairs - on alumni board of college (now a university) and president of the town library board. Have to have both my knees replaced last year, but everything is working and all is well. I have 2 daughters who live in Boulder, CO and 4 grandkids.
