Bruce's Story
Life
After high school, worked at Roy Rodgers, then worked at Kones in Security Mall, then worked at Pastories West on Rt. 40 then worked as a manager for Rite Aid. Joined the Navy in 1981, was stationed on the USS Kirk in Yokosuka Japan from 1982-84. Then was stationed on the USS Reeves in Yokosuka Japan from 84-86. After leaving the Reeves in 1986, I went to China Lake Naval Weapons Center in The Mojave desert in Ca. and worked at the Airspace Surviellance Center controlling aircraft that were testing weapon systems on the ranges. Then I got out in 1990 and stayed as a civillian doing the same work and also worked as an Air Test Controller. Go...Expand for more
t married in 1990 to my wonderful wife Shannon and together we raised my stepson Tim. I played drums in a rock band, swing band, and country band. In 1997, went to work for the FAA as an Air Traffic Contoller in Bakersfield, Ca. In 2006, moved to Culpeper Va. and was working as an Air Traffic Controller at the Potomac Tracon. There, we work the arrivals and departures out of BWI, Dulles, National, Richmond, and Charlottesville airports as well as overflights going up and down the east coast.In 2008, moved back to Bakersfield and working in the tower. Would like to get in touch with those who knew me. Would like to know about any reunion plans.
