Bruce's Story
After graduation in 1985, I decided that the world needed someone to protect it. The cold war was still on, and I was a patriotic young man looking to protect his country.. and make some $$ for college on the side.Ha,ha. Anyway, this story begins in L.A. California at the improcessing center for the military, and ended up at Fort Sill,Oklahoma. dge. This was embedded into my chest by an airborne instructor that GOD would be afraid of. (just over my heart on the left side.)I decided to get a tattoo of the wings for commemoration. Very Cool!! I served for 2 years in the 82d airborne division, then transferred to the 18th airborne Corps. I spent the rest of my active duty there. After active duty, I spent the rest of my military career in the national guard. (11years.)I spent four years in the Artillery, four years in the combat medical brigade, and three years as a counterintelligence agent.Luckily, I never really saw combat.I wish that I could say the same for my friends.
I have since gone to college and become a nurse. I am currently an LVN and working on my RN degree and living in the San Francisco Bay Area.
