Bryan's Story
Hey! this is my story, and I'm sticking to it. Following graduation I attended Shoreline Comm. College for approx. a year and a half, and dropped out. With another classmate of ours (the late Dave Plested) I went to work for American Can, down on the waterfront in Seattle. It didn't take long for old Uncle Sam to catch up with me, and I was in the Army, 2nd Armored Cavalry Div. Germany. During my stint in the service, while on leave I married my former wife Kay Busey a Nathan Hale grad. We had two children Scott & Carie, and although divorced, we would still see each other on occasion (Sadly Kay passed away in 2016). Following service I went back to school with help of the G.I. bill and received my degree in Advertising Art. I ended up working for Boeing as an Illustrator, drawing wiring, tubing, and components attached to...Expand for more
the structure of the airplane. That was the start of my career at Boeing which lasted 29 years most of it in Customer Service Division. In 1988 I married my life pal Rene Flynn a fellow art major and cultural observer. We have both retired and live in Freeland, near Mutiny Bay on Whidbey Isl. Our passion has been travel to Italy, and between the lira and the euro we have surely helped their economy, traveling there 16 times or so in the last 20 years. Rene paints Italian architecture with great success, and we just keep loving the Italian people we meet, especially the wonderful Minghelli family and their beautiful farm an hour north of Rome. Being a former Spartan track guy I still run/jog a couple times a week, walk the dogs on the beach, and basically just try to keep moving. Plan to be at the 50th reunion and reminisce.
