What have I done for the last 50 years? In high school my family hosted Zenta Nakajima, Pioneer's foreign student. Zenta went on to graduate from Tokyo University. He worked for the Bank of Japan and represented BOJ in several countries, including Switzerland. About 15 years ago, my son, daughter and I visited Zenta and his wife, Miyo, in Basel, Switzerland. We traveled to Interlaken, took a cogwheel train to Jungfrau mountain, visited museums and enjoyed meals with Zenta and Miyo. I continue to keep in touch with Zenta to this day. I graduated from San Jose State and did graduate work toward an MBA at Xavier University in Cincinnati. In 1968, I volunteered to serve in the U.S. Army. I was assigned to the field for 13 months in Vietnam as a chief of a Fire Direction Center. The FDC worked up data to send to a battery of six self-propelled howitzers. The unit I served with was the first squadron ( howitzer battery) of the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment. I worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 32 years in various positions: field sales, account manager, area sales manager and product manager. I retired in 2003.
