Dannon's Story
After high school I went to SBCC (Art major), worked at a couple of jobs, then I went to work full time in a law office. I married Sanford Story in 1978. While my children were young I stayed at home, then for 19 years I worked at Goleta Union School District in the Administration offices as a secretary/admin. asst. I retired (early) from there on 2/29/12, and went to work full time at our business here in Goleta, A & E Automotive, doing Marketing/Customer Relations, bookkeeping, etc.
My husband and I have had our auto repair business here in Old Town Goleta for 26 years, where I now work full time. We live in old town Goleta, in my husband's family home.
We have raised 6 very active children (3 boys, 3 girls), all going to Dos Pueblos High School. While they were at the high school we attended a LOT of events, as we had 4 who played soccer there, 2 who ran track, 2 who wrestled; and we also had one in band, one in the...Expand for more
ater and another was active in Leadership. Our oldest is now 33, our youngest 21. We feel blessed that they all live in Santa Barbara and Goleta, so we can see them at any time! We also have our 2 cute kitties to snuggle with (rescued from ASAP), now that our kids are too big to snuggle (mostly!).
We are active in our church, like to attend various cultural events, love to spend time with our family and friends, and have lately been 4-wheeling on back country roads in California -- we love to be in the great outdoors and I always try get some nature photography done while out there.
I love to read, think computers are great fun, sometimes do crafts/needlework, love to bake. One of my favorite places is Yosemite (actually... any place in the outdoors!). I love to learn new things, am always up to a challenge, and figure that, with my family history, I should make it to 100, so why not have an interesting, fruitful journey!
